Abruzzo consists of 4 regions; Teramo, Pescara, L'aquila & Chieti.
The region of Chieti is where we specialise, famous for the ‘Costa dei Trabocchi’ and for the beautiful mountains. It is an area of natural and historic beauty with all year round interest.
In summer the usual water activities are available on the beach; scuba diving, snorkeling, yachting, sailing, and beach sports. At the quieter beaches just relax or promenade along the ‘lungomare’ with the Italians or eat and drink at a local bar and watch the sun go down.
From March to November the weather is usually warm enough for the beach and from November to March the ski resorts take over with skiing and snowboarding. It is entirely possible in some months of the year to ski in the morning, eat a fine lunch and swim in the sea in the afternoon.
You can head into the mountains for walks into the 4 national parks, horse riding, canoeing, white water rafting, hiking etc. There are links to the National Park sites on our links page.
There are mediaeval/music/art festivals all year round in the various villages all of which normally include the excellent slow food cuisine, famous regional wines and oils.
